Simple Movie Pack Mod
In case anyone is interested, I've made some simple modifications (lots of grids) to the original movie pack.

Thanks. That's fine with me. The zip only includes the floor, rim wall, and bike wall textures which shouldn't a problem. Makes it easier to use with whatever bike model you are currently using.iceman wrote:simple and very effective
can i add it to my moviepack download page K ?
It should probably be noted to set System/Display/Detail/Floor Detail to Textured Plane for the floor texture to show correctly. And turn off the sky for the black sky.
no they're png's (gif's are proprietary just like jpeg/jpg and most others, there was even talk of having to pay licenses to use the gif "standard": png to the rescue!). now if only IE would start supporting png transparency like Mozilla & co does...nicolas.b wrote:land are those TRANSLUCENT trails?? that must mean they are GIFs, correct?

It does, doesn't it. It's been so long since I've watched that show I forgot about that. Unfortunately the sky texture gets stretched across the entire sky instead of being tiled so I can't make it a grid to match the rim walls.nicolas.b wrote:looks like the star trek simulator room!

I see someone is playing with the "awesome empowering" word filters again.

Um... *crickets chirping* I hate naming things.iceman wrote:all i need is for you to name your creation and i'll start the upload

1. Blue Grid
2. Simple Blue Grid
3. Black Box with Intersecting Blue Lines
4. Help, Help, I'm Being Repressed!
5. Haystacks floating on a tranquil sea on a moonless night #1
6. Neon
I don't know.

Darn word filters

I'll have to play around with it. Using the same texture for the sky as one rim wall texture it looks like it is getting scaled 4 times larger compared to the rim wall. 1 sky square is the same width as 4 rim squares. I'm not sure if this is a fixed scale or if the arena size affects the sky texture size.nicolas.b wrote:could you just make it more highly detailed then to compensate?

wow, finally played with the transparent walls and they are really cute. very nice for first-person perspec. biggest problem is, it's harder than ever to see people with grey walls. also, using the 'hearts' one, it looks like there are fishnet stockings all over the place. i keep thinking about sexy can-can dances and forgetting about the game...

lol, you know the sad part? i never heard from the girl i made those trails fornicolas.b wrote:also, using the 'hearts' one, it looks like there are fishnet stockings all over the place. i keep thinking about sexy can-can dances and forgetting about the game...

hmm K what about naming it "Linear"? it rings good in my ears but that's either my accent or listening to too much music using earphones
