US Election 2016
Re: US Election 2016
Yeah, it's just one or two trigger genes on the Y that activate the rest of the genes on the other chromosomes that do the real work of producing a male body. But I'm still not buying your claim. It's chromosomes, that's not dark matter, it should be easy to verify. You may be conflating two things here.
This talks about rodents without Y chromosomes and how, on evolutionary timescales, so millions of years, humans may be heading the same way:
https://www.sciencealert.com/the-y-chro ... ure-of-men
Just because the Y chromosome is shrinking does not mean it will vanish. If it is essential for survival, at some point selection pressure to keep it functional will kick in and keep it at its minimal viable length. If it'll vanish, it was expendable, is what I'm saying.
This talks about men losing the Y chromosome in a large part of their cells as they age:
https://www.science.org/content/article ... eir-hearts
I did not know that! But it's very different from being conceived without one.
(The links were just the first ones I found, lots of other places talk about the same things).

Re: US Election 2016
I'm referring to a very recent study, it may not have been replicated yet. It went through peer review, though. I didn't read the original study, I read one of the middleman reports. Also, I may have the timeframe wrong, but it's no more than 500 years away. There are numerous signs that humans are breeding out the XY pair. That doesn't mean there won't be a chromosome pair there in the future, it just means it'll be a standard issue XX pair. So we'll be joining a multitude of species that already don't have XY/XX chromosomes.
The other estimates I through out on how much of the population may not be XY/Male, XX/Female, isn't made up, but it's highly speculative. The point there is that we just don't have enough data to estimate this. Every new round of data we get tells us to lower the estimate.
But yeah, even if it's true that 99% of people are XY/Male, XX/Female, that's still around 85 million people worldwide, and 3.5 million people in the US, who are not. This is not an insignificant number of people. And it's monstrous to suggest that we should ignore them and make public policy that discriminates against them, and ultimately kills a large number of them due to lack of proper medical care.

ah yes one case of a sports injury, propped up by the right wing propaganda machine to demonize trans people. You bringing up "empathy" for this person just does not even compute. You voted for and have ardently supported a candidate who's platform includes: cutting medicare, cutting medicaid, cutting social security, cutting disease research, and more recently, bombing people. There is a shit ton of evidence of how these programs save lives, prevent treatable death, save elderly from poverty, advance medicine, etc. You probably willfully ignore that evidence and will continue to do so though. This stance is basically "get sick and die unless a trans person did it to you".
I'm not saying I have the magic answer for trans athletes in sports and where to draw that line, I'm saying your selective empathy is extremely flawed and chalked up to virtue signaling at best. Especially how it manifests in actual policy decisions and just regurgitating Fox News talking points.
Monkey, sine.wav, Lucifer, Z-Man, and Word are doing god's work in this thread.

I can tell you've been fed the lies with this statement. They are not cutting medicare, medicaid, or social security, show me the proof? (I'm guessing you'll point to the media saying Elon said it is a fraud, yes he said this, but in the same exact post on X he also said that it still needs to be supported, see posts below ) They are simply taking the fraudulent spending in them out, it's more or less a rewrite of how to verify that you are not some person abusing the system drawing money, on a dead person or child. there is a lot of fraud around those programs. Take a look at what Trump ran for https://www.donaldjtrump.com/platform it contradicts all of your made up storiesKronkleberry wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 5:55 pm You voted for and have ardently supported a candidate who's platform includes: cutting medicare, cutting medicaid, cutting social security, cutting disease research, and more recently, bombing people.
cutting disease research, you mean the research that created COVID-19 that caused a worldwide pandemic, that people to this day mask up for in fear of catching it, when they likely have already had it? why else would Biden(or whoever was actually running the country) preemptively pardon Fauci?
as for the bombing people, I have no clue where you pulled that from, he's clearly very against killing people as he wants to form peace between Ukraine and Russia.

As for trans, I said it many times, I don't believe it is an issue Kids should be dealing with, I understand your go to inner-sex talking point, less than 1% of the population, and part of that includes that 60 to 80% who have the flipped parts for the chromosome pair. Love what you are born with rather than going under the knife. Kids have enough to deal with between bullying and other things, that could be partially influencing their life time discussion to sterilize themselves, without really knowing what they are doing. There are plenty of cases on kids, now adults realizing they were lead wrong, stripped of their reproductive parts, and now they can't go back, that is far worse that forcing kids to wait to decide until they are at least 18. (yes I know Trump went further, and I disagree with that, but we need to know more)
Also I don't agree with all the jan 6 pardons, some yes, once they were in many just followed and did no harm, I also don't agree with his pardon from yesterday of Trevor Milton, the guy lead many investors terribly wrong

Lucifer: Yeah, sorry, link please? Evolution typically does not work that quickly. Of course, civilization has changed the game, so we should be prepared for surprises.
Even if we were to subscribe to this restrictive philosophy, you're taking it from the wrong end. There are over a million cosmetic surgeries per year in the USA alone, tendency rising, and even confining it to 'gender affirming procedures', The majority, and in case of minors, VAST majority is performed on cis people. Yeah, turns out, XY boys don't like having boobs. And yeah, sterilizations for the purpose of sterilization are also a thing.
In the extremely unlikely case YMI, a group of top men, including Vice President JD Vance, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, discussed attack plans on the Houthi in a Signal chat group. Which apparently is a violation of archival rules, because even classified exchanges need to be documented, and that's just not happening with Signal, and also a security risk in itself; the Signal app and protocol are safe, but the devices they run on may not be. Anyway, the reason we know about this is that they also accidentally invited a journalist, Jeffrey Goldberg. Oopsie. Under normal circumstances, this would be a reason for one or two resignations, but of course, today, it's a reason to attack said journalist.

You're a couple of layers deep inside the COVID conspiracy onion here. Yeah, we don't know the origin of that particular virus, and therefore an escaped lab experiment cannot be ruled out. But we know how natural zoonoses work, wild animals in contact with domestic animals in contact with humans. That's still the most probable explanation. And if it was a natural cause, we can NEVER rule out the lab accident. It's a non falsifiable hypothesis. It could only be proven right if verifyable documents were to surface about experiments on that specific virus, never proven wrong. (Of course, experiments on SIMILAR virus stems are done all over the world, because it's an important group) Believing in unfalsifiable hypotheses is dangerous conspiracy thinking.
Have they actually found the massive fraud they claimed there would be? I guess more than 10% of the total budget would count as massive, 1% are sort of expected administrative losses because you're working on incomplete data, this has been known before, and yeah, some fraud (or, of course, just honest mistakes) is to be expected and yeah, obviously should be fought. Just keep in mind that there is a cost to fighting fraud and at some point, from a socio-economic perspective, there is a sweet spot where fighting fraud harder costs more than it eliminates fraud.

To be fair, that's universal. The previous administration already ran attacks on the Houthis. Now, of course, the stuff AROUND the attack... I suppose we have to give them props for choosing Signal over Whatsapp or Discord.

You know you can get it multiple times (I had it twice), the risk of long COVID does not go down, that there are people especially vulnerable, like people with transplants that have a compromised immune system, that wearing masks in public is common in Asia? I personally mask up when meeting other people every time I have the sniffles or worse to protect everyone else.
Has he? To protect him from politically motivated assaults, I would presume, Trump promised to get a lot of people locked up.
24 hours after he got elected, yeah. How is that going? Russia is not playing along, is it?

Re: US Election 2016
sorry for X link, but this is well worth watching to explain some of the fraud that has been going on with our social security system. It actually maps out the full process of the fraud.

Re: US Election 2016
Thanks. I encourage everyone to watch that, it is educational.
My initial thoughts:
Interesting. I don't disbelieve the actually revealed things there, in fact, I had a puzzle piece I could not quite fit anywhere before that fits this. Mind you, the presentation would not pass peer review. But anyway, first two remarks:
The dead people marked as alive in the system, for the most part, did not get any benefits. It was just a case of them being unable to properly update the status, which, OK, is kind of an odd way to run a system, but I'm no COBOL expert.
The stated motivation for it all is pure speculation.
Now, do I get this right? People turn up at the border, they are let in by the border guards, get some document, need to see a judge, get some other document, and one or two more steps with the administrations, get mailed a social security number, which allows them to work (conveniently left out of their narration; or the authorization to work even has to come first) and receive benefits. All through official and documented channels.
I have a question. Maybe a very stupid one. At which point in the process does it turn into a fraud?
Further thoughts:
I also have a problem with my Conspiracy Debunking Method 2, "You think THEY are competent enough to pull this off?" (Yes, I have that list written down so I stay consistent, because that is what normal people do). The order to change the immigration traffic light from "No, eff off" to "Come in, take a number" must have gone to thousands of border guards, with a lot of higher ups also in the know. What I can't easily believe is that all of them were fine with that and nobody tipped off any anti-immigration leaning influencer, or press. Why hasn't this been a bigger story than Hunter Biden's laptop?
Oh, turns out, they tried: https://www.factcheck.org/2024/04/posts ... -benefits/
And indeed, listening at 3:33:
"Once you're in the country, and you got asylum, ... you can apply for a work document."
Sounds like asylum status was required all along. Asylum seekers are not illegal immigrants. The process they describe these people got their social security number through requires asylum seeker status, yet they frame them as illegals at several points. So much that I even thought the graph was labeled as such. They successfully managed to bamboozle me into thinking their data was about illegals. Cunning bastards.
Also, I think green card holders would also appear in that graph, no?
Good if they really found two vote fraudsters, of course.

Re: US Election 2016
You don't need a video, you can read the documentation yourself. Besides, the video is full of propaganda and I think you don't really understand how anything works. Giving immigrants a social security number allows them to pay into the social security system, which is better for everyone. The alternative is they don't pay, or worse, work under the table and not pay any taxes. And according to the video, 1.3 million were receiving Medicaid (not Medicare)? Wow big deal. If you believe there are 20 million immigrants, the number receiving benefits is super low. Medicaid makes healthcare cheaper for everyone because poor, sick people still need treatment. If they go to the hospital or emergency room without any insurance they still get treated but then the cost of healthcare rises for everyone else. Also, you do realize that Medicaid has been hugely privatized already, right? After all, you're a super smart guy.
Finally, I don't know how many times you need to hear this, but (if you believe economists) you can't have a growing economy without a growing population. Immigration is the future because birthrates are declining in all developed countries. I personally don't care about immigration at all.
Re: US Election 2016
Asylum status is legal, yes. Also, green card holders typically come in with a work visa and have a citizen sponsoring them, somehow, although I don't think that's required if they can show they're skilled and have enough financial stability to find a job and so forth.Z-Man wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 10:02 pm Sounds like asylum status was required all along. No, the ones who come here illegally don't go through the ports, they cross the desert, or get smuggled in big trucks, or get smuggled on boats (it's mostly the boats, actually). They sneak in, find a shelter, then find under the table work. That's why we need the wall, it'll stop all of them, except the majority who come in in boats.
As for what you can get: If you pay into the social security system, you are entitle to get benefits from it. That's how it's set up. If you don't pay into it, you cannot get benefits from it. Generally speaking. SSDI is a bit different, but is still based largely on what you've paid in, but people who haven't paid in can collect it, too. That's disability, for anybody who doesn't know that.
In a state like Texas that's funded through sales tax and property taxes, then if you pay those things, you are entitled to state benefits like police and fire and EMS and stuff like that. Medical care, through the ER loophole, and so forth. IN states that have an income tax, you can argue that people who don't pay income tax aren't entitled to those same benefits, but the cops aren't going to ask you to prove you paid taxes when you report a crime. The reality is that it's better for everybody if those benefits go to everybody, regardless of how much they pay in taxes.
Renters pay property taxes, it's just included as a cost in calculating how much rent they'll pay.
That's just what I know off the top of my head that seems relevant here. Anybody is welcome to fact check me at all times, and bring better information, because I care about facts more than being right.

Re: US Election 2016
I actually agree mostly with your full post, even this, however, the broader issue is, this is a massive loophole into getting such benefits, anyone can literately come here claim asylum and start drawing benefits, as the courts are backed up multiple years, so essentially a mass murdered could be claiming asylum for the murders that they previous made and be grated temporary asylum until the trail, the temporary asylum I don't believe should be used for aid and voting rights, as they also mentioned that they are getting temporary asylum and then also getting voting rights. Under Biden they were literally letting anyone in giving them housing in certain states, Social security numbers and rights to vote.
The real issue is with the slowness of processing the asylum seekers, and the fact that they are able to draw government funds for so long prior to the actual asylum trial. This allows bad actors to easily access our country for multiple years. I believe funds have been miscalculated to maximize this delay, to prolong the incentives that asylum seekers have been getting. Yes maybe more resources are needed for more judges to handle the cases too. As I've said before, if you are willing to work to be here, I'm all for migrants coming here, but we need to close the loopholes and the almost endless funding for asylum seekers, so that we don't have the mess of what Biden was doing, that was a big contributor to the massive inflation that we had. once all that is solved, and trails are within days, the boarder can be more open again.
Maybe not in a traditional way, GDP, but potentially with GDP per capita, That's actually a pretty interesting number to look at.

Now let's wait and see whether the new tariffs actually destroy the US car industry for good and/or lead to a de-facto-monopoly of Tesla. Another Great Depression that is completely unnecessary.
Also, Elon was an illegal immigrant and now he's shredding your constitution to his sole benefit with your approval, kyle. Why don't you deport him? Trump wants to introduce a gold card for Russian oligarchs who are your countries' sworn enemies. Deporting Mexicans who still believe in the American dream will surely strengthen democracy.
