Well done Ratchet
It sounds like quite a few chumps didn't show, don't sign up if you're not definitely going to play

Sad I missed it, sounds like it was quite some fun.
Ratchet, are you planning on doing this on a monthly basis?

due to the time needed for this and the difference in nature to the ladle i think this should be a quarterly event, monthly would be a bit of an overkillPyrrhicVictory wrote:Sad I missed it, sounds like it was quite some fun.

Agreed. I thought I read Ratchet saying "next month" somewhere. After looking through the topic I cannot seem to find it anymore, so it probably was only in my mind.bilbo baggins wrote:due to the time needed for this and the difference in nature to the ladle i think this should be a quarterly event, monthly would be a bit of an overkillPyrrhicVictory wrote:Sad I missed it, sounds like it was quite some fun.

Anyways, I think this tournament adds some of the missing "serious" fort-time. There's no way to prepare for ladle in 9v9-servers. If this event will only occur every few months, we should think about resurrecting spoon or something similar. I remember playing in a spoon once, which gave me some good fort-practice right before ladle.

Did anyone try downloading the file and not succeed? DGM said his computer didn't like it, and the file is too large to upload to the forums. I can't think of any extremely reliable sources to upload a recording file to - I may create a free website somewhere to upload it to.

For me, it gets to the "Online Multiplayer" button and freezes. Then I have to kill -9 to get rid of it.Ratchet wrote:Did anyone try downloading the file and not succeed? Might have to do with what version and OS you're using (to record, and playback). If I understand it correctly, it's most likely to work if both are same, so it's no wonder it's working for you hatchet.
Re: Fortress-For-All - Discussion
Possibly. I use the latest 0.4 Linux release, and it's most likely that he uses 0.2. Don't feel like getting it to test though.Titanoboa wrote:Might have to do with what version and OS you're using (to record, and playback). uNk isn't a clan btw ... we're a team ^^Overrated wrote:If a player drafts 3 unk, I don't see the problem in that. They want the players they want and if 3 unk players fell to them, they should be able to take them. If anything, you should make it so that the team leader doesn't provide a bias based on the clan they're in if you have too.
err why doesn't the quote work?

Fixed, but you know what I meant. I consider unk a clan just as much as I consider Revolver one as well.Aiphaton wrote:uNk isn't a clan btw ... we're a team ^^Overrated wrote:If a player drafts 3 unk, I don't see the problem in that. Re: Fortress-For-All - Discussion
I agree with Concord's assessment on the "irrelevancy of team-clan terminology"; however his statement "Team Unknown is a clan" is Concord's opinion, and based on his definition of a team/clan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but frankly you can call yourself a team or a clan because their basically the same thing. There is no proof we are even "clans"... unless we're all "a group of people tracing descent from a common ancestor" (probably are), but there is a good definition for a team, "a number of persons associated together in work or activity"; under this definition we all could be "teams". Regardless if uNk is a team or a clan, that's up for you to decide. I consider the Team in our name to be affixed regardless of opinions.ElmosWorld wrote:Read this.Aiphaton wrote:uNk isn't a clan btw ... we're a team ^^Overrated wrote:If a player drafts 3 unk, I don't see the problem in that.
