9/11 - 10 Year Anniversary
Re: 9/11 - 10 Year Anniversary
I'm telling him to use his reason. There are lots of instances which PROVE that notion wrong (one example being the holocaust) and maybe one day someone else will tell him that, when it has more serious consequences for his life (job interviews, business meetings, some rendezvous?). World history, science and art doesn't really care how something is delivered. As long as you don't deliver a lot of content they'll remain unimpressed of you, regardless of your current friendliness. Phytotron could post a plan for world peace and you'd still say he's a misanthrope because of the delivery. Being useless is worse, regardless of the delivery. I don't know how many times I said this, but you're like some obsessed pavlov dogs. Phytotron posts something, INW reads the name and writes a dense reply a 10 year old would be ashamed of.

Liz damn well knows that, by her own silly contention, she can't tell you or me that we're wrong, either. (And if she doesn't realise that, she's even stupider and more irrational than I thought.) That automatically renders her posts worthless, and exposes the real motivation behind them. (I'm surprised it took her this long to stick her snotty nose in this thread. Same for Mecca.)

It's not rude at all, in fact it's expected when quoting someone. You should accept this rule if you plan to be taken seriously in your writing when you reach adulthood.Mecca wrote: Which reminds me of another thing, Phytotron. The "[sic]" thing is quite rude.
No, the fact you are a child on a game forum does not make proper writing any less important. Good communication skills transcend all mediums. Speaking of good communication, if you find Phytotron's writing too verbose and lofty, it's more likely your own writing style is simply deficient.
And his attitude? Well, if someone is talking down to you in an effort to coerce and challenge you into becoming a better thinker and orator you might want to ask yourself why that's a bad thing. I'm sure you get enough coddling from your teachers in school. It doesn't seem to be doing the trick.ing down to you in an effort to coerce and challenge you into becoming a better thinker and orator you might want to ask yourself why that's a bad thing. No one made that claim, Gonzap, least of all me. And weren't you the one complaining about having been "attacked" when no one had done so?
Re: 9/11 - 10 Year Anniversary
Interesting how much shorter that post got when I cut out the unnecessary "let's make my ego bigger by trying to bring someone down to my level" filler.sinewav wrote:It's not rude at all, in fact it's expected when quoting someone.Mecca wrote: Which reminds me of another thing, Phytotron. No, it is rude. I assume people aren't manually typing quotes in their posts, and I really don't expect anyone to bother adding grammar mistakes to the posts they quote. It's obvious that if there is a grammar mistake, it wasn't transcribed incorrectly.
And again, I am talking about how he talks down to everyone, not just me.
Out of curiosity... Did you write your post in some program other than your browser, copy, and paste it in one too many times?

Re: 9/11 - 10 Year Anniversary
since i disagreed with you, that was an attack.
And for sine: "It's not rude at all" calling somebody "warthog-faced" and "vomitous mass"? (quoted from phytotron)

@Gonz: Yeah, that looks like a personal attack. Can we see a sexy picture of you to confirm you don't have a warthog-face? That's the only way to know if he's wrong.

Wait, what?Gonzap wrote:since i disagreed with you, that was an attack.
A) Sinewav was referring to the use of '[sic]' as not being rude. And for sine: "It's not rude at all" calling somebody "warthog-faced" and "vomitous mass"? (quoted from phytotron)
B) Look back at my post and click on the asterisk that follows that line you're complaining about. It was a joke and an illustration, a play on the "string of adjectives" thing—that, again, it's not not some quirk unique to me.
Good god, reading comprehension. I know English isn't your first language, I make allowances for that, but damn.
