Gratz on a successful international tournament (I know that's debatable for some teams). If you guys are interested in another, what's the time frame for this kind of tournament, 3 months, 6, or a year?

Next time we can also try to address some of the major issues, the US team(s) and servers assigned to euro vs euro matches, (or na vs na).

I want to remind you that short-term solutions are usually not a good thing. I'm talking about countries lining up several teams, and some mixed teams.

You mixed up a lot of the teams to get a more balanced tournament; not as one-sided. The result was ironically a rather one-sided tournament, with a few interesting matches. Two mixed teams* played in the finals. While a good matchup, it hardly came close to the level of a ladle final - where mixed teams belong. *(Spain+Argentina+USA) vs. (Hungary+Romania+United Arab Emirates+Austria)

There was a lot of talk (that got this tourney started in the first place) about which country would win a world cup. USA and Netherlands were the most popular suggestions, with UK and France not far behind. This tourney showed that Netherlands vs France was an even match, and fun to watch (I saw small parts). We still don't know if the best US team would beat them though, let alone which country would win the tourney.


So what if some players from USA/Europe/Asia don't get to play? We can watch. Shouldn't it be a privilege to play in a World Cup, rather than a right?
So what if there's only 7 teams - that doesn't mean it can't be an interesting and fun tournament.
And it's not a big deal if a smaller country (in terms of player amount) only can show with 4 or 5 players. Sure they probably can't win the entire tourney, but they can have fun playing to see how far they can go.
Refugees (my team this tourney) played some really fun matches 4v6, doing our best to reach the quarter finals. Our efforts weren't enough, but we had fun trying.


I don't mind Eastern bloc forming a team, but they weren't all from the Eastern Bloc.
I don't mind Hispanics teaming up, but they weren't all hispanic.
don't forget, United Kingdom is a mixed team too.
For the same reasons, I'd be ok with a Scandinavian or even Nordic team. Only if all players are from that area though.


I think a fully manned Eastern Bloc (emmy, slash, pike, xyron, hamar, sixzero, animal) or a concentrated USA team would win. Netherlands, UK, France, possibly Germany and Hispanics would all be fighting for the title World Champions though.

Well in real life, there are probably a lot more players in America trying to join one fort cup team as well. It is competition.
Because there are so many American's, it'll just be harder for all of us. Oh well. Thats competition. The privilege to play.

Also just because we have more people, doesn't mean we are interested in playing that particular sport.

The UK should not be regarded as a mixed team when compared to a bunch of countries connected only by geographical location or a language

I'm pretty sure when I signed up Deso put the team together as "Hispanic/latino" whatever team, not just Hispanics, i just went along with it cause I didn't think it mattered enough to bring up.

Btw, Ladle 17 was the first ladle with more than 8 teams. Ladle 2, 5, 7, 8 and 15 only had 4 teams.

The UK was not a mixed team... everyone in the UK was from the UK, which is a recognised nation!

Just wanted to point out that UK is, while England isn't, technically, a mixed team. And I wasn't trying to complain about any of the teams that participated.
