Congratulations, Crazy Tronners!

short summary.

I'm thankful that so many teams took part and I hope they are encouraged to compete again so they get better :)
We had too few moderators and admins (or just too few players who weren't aware of their status as teamleader) at start, but all in all the first matches were pleasant, with some exceptions.

Those of you who are unhappy about the rules and guidelines can discuss that here, if there's another c&p tournament we'll change it (for example, we really need a limit time for the rounds and a better way to decide who advances, tonight some team seemed to make its own rules and some other teams felt left out - one can say that's our fault cause we didn't have better rules. In my personal opinion that wouldn't be a problem if you were willing to undergo a risk and don't do EVERYTHING to win. but that's seconday, of course ;) ).

Since I don't know what happened between Flex and Taz or CT and ID; if you want to clarify it please use our forum (we need some activity there, and this forum has more than enough of that kind of topics :P )

I'll try to edit the brackets and fill in what I know, but I'd like to ask you just to post your results to complete it (or else we'd have to check logfiles).

nuthing between ct and id, we just voted and we decided (3-1) to move to an eu server. If u look at the wiki u'll see that servers could be changed.



that was fun but the final ^^

As Gonzap said there isnt anything between CT and ID.

Its just that ID was coming in thinking we would be playing in an American server and all of a sudden we have this vote and we get switched to a euro server with high pings. Made us frustrated and we kind of just complained and gave up after the first two matches.

All in all it was a bit average. Nothing to write home about, the game was ok at times, all be it in an average sort of way. One thing I disliked was the length of time it took for the walls to disappear. It was, however, a good distraction.

For the next tourney I thought we could set limit_time to 10 (minutes), and score_win to 4. This means you don't really gain anything from camping if you didn't score before, but it's still possible. What do you think?

And i'll add something like "don't camp" to the wiki so it's clear for all who need such rules...

I still think it would be interesting with a slowly expanding DZ* after a few minutes into a round. This would create 4 little rooms, and the remaining players will hopefully all be in one of these rooms. Has it been tested? (I think I mentioned it a few months ago in-game).

Titan, the result of a slowly expanding DZ is camping in different "rooms" until it expands too much and kills everyone. If there was a DZ it would have to spawn in the center and be big enough (at spawn) so that you couldn't change rooms.

or maybe make it spawn randomly and expand slowly, so everyone will go to the same room?

Edit: At a random location, not after a random amount of time.
