No, I see what you're saying, which is why I plan to play.Hoax wrote:Well you missing the point I'm getting at. Is that really worth being so stubborn & not playing in a tourney for (epsy aside); all im saying.DDMJ wrote:That's not really the point I'm getting at.Hoax wrote:End of the day I don't care enough about scole_hole 10 to not participate in this tourney :>
I just don't think it is "right" that the tournament organizer is going against the suggestion of seemingly everyone.
I hope everyone just plays & just gets some experience from it so the next tst will be even better..

This is silly... Having these 10 holing points isn't going to change the game that much. People are going to get 10 points once in a while for holing. That's great. No one's going to hole on purpose unless its a very strange situation since they would be giving 30 points to the other team. This isn't fun.
I hereby introduce a motion to increase holing points to 100. Think about how much fun it would be! Fun fun fun! FUN!

Gratz sagenoob and noobka. I actually bet on you to win in ID forums so...I guess I was right again...(CT, Ladle 16).
Here are two points about colours in sumo (in general):
1) I think that gold and green look way too similar.
2) I don't like how you can choose your shade of colour, which leads to different colours actually looking the same and causing a lot of confusion.
I'm sure that there is something we can do about both of these.

Thanks, and this is true, but we did know that the 2nd place winner would advance to the finals as well, so we pretty much gave up the 2nd match so you guys would be forced to leave, thus making it much easier for us to advance to the finals as wellLackadaisical wrote:Congrats DurkLord & SageKa

I completely agree Monkey. In fact, Sage and I had the same shade of gold that I changed my color code so we could differentiate between each other's tails.Monkey wrote:Gratz sagenoob and noobka. I actually bet on you to win in ID forums so...I guess I was right again...(CT, Ladle 16).

But on the whole, they were fun matches. My one concern was that the finals would last way too long, especially since I had to leave at a certain time. With the current way it's setup, there could be a maximum of 9 matches played in order to determine a winner (3-2-2-2). But, the chances of that aren't too high and we ended up only playing 6 (3-2-1-0).

Maybe instead of changing from first to two to first to three, we could do longer matches in the final, where we go from 900 points to 1350 or whatever.

Congrats Sage & Durka!
Interesting final
Anyway, just out of curiosity, did anyone get points for holing or saw someone getting them?
And let me note that I didn't agree with SCORE_HOLE either.
