I was given a shiny new copy of vista ultimate by my company as a bonus (their ulterior motive was software testing) in February, and just installed it 2 weeks ago.
Its not really any worse or better than XP, kinda like a lateral move with more eye candy. I waited till more drivers were released because I knew from being a beta tester the support wasn't there. I am glad I did, now I have good gaming performance (even openGL) and a pretty desktop (awww) and managed to get Autocad 2004 to work properly too (had to do SOMTHING for the company
).
I still think its gonna take till SP1 or later to figure out how Vista is really gonna perform compared to a mature operating system like XP.

I assume you are trying to make a funny???? Yes, xp is mature in the effect of having been RTM for what, 6 years now. Being mature doesn't mean its perfect ( I can agree with you on the playschool look of the luna theme, I prefer the recently released zune theme).
