Meh, leopard seems to have some good features though. I like time machine,
core animation and the spaces.
And for all you out there who have no idea what the hell i'm talking about go to http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/index.html

I tried a beta version of vista on my laptop; it sure looks nice, but its damn slow and doesnt recognise half my hardware (which is funny as its generic items mostly, such as a standard intel wireless card) it it doesnt support my music files - I have a sony mp3 player which converts everything to .Oma automatically.
I was planning on trying out some form of linux, however 1- im lazy, 2- im guessing there will be driver problems to some of my hardware, and 3- i cant really be arsed learning everything thats different about it so until then ill stick with xp

I used the beta's well beta2 RC1 and RC2, now my parents have the final release so i have used that too. I found a Linux distro that i like and used it for a month. i went back to vista just for an easy install. I HATE IT NOW. armagetron has a lot more lies than the linux i am using. also all the drivers have to be digitally signed (basically a way for Microsoft to get more money). that prevented me for getting my parents mother board software loaded.
Short answer: It looks nice but it sucks.

/me votes for lucifer's option
Vista seems to add some eye candy (well, the still screenshots I saw look like an ugly waste of resources and screen space to me, but I guess some people might like it), and a lot of dumb DRM.
OpenGL support seems to be glitchy and hard to get and there's going to be even more WGA crap. I don't see any reason why I should “upgrade” my working gentoo boxes to vista. End of line.

Erm. Anyway, maybe later, when some games I'm really craving will be Vista-only and OpenAL is widely adopted (EAX does not work anymore on Vista, in case you did not know) and I have a PC where I don't notice Vista eating away 500 gigaquads of main memory, I just may consider installing it. So far, it would be a downgrade in every respect.
