Instead of a complicated authentication method, how about the possibility of adding password protection to servers, so all users have to know the server password to join? About banning networks: depending on the network, you don't have to ban the whole thing. At least my experience with big German n...

Some computers have brilliant little switches on the back that switches between 110V and 220V. But most do not. Most computers I've seen do have such a switch, but it's not one you can actually flick - you need a screwdriver for that. Why would anyone make a flickable switch for a setting that (usu...

I learned to drive a 4wheeler when I was about 9-10. Here, kids as young as 6-7 can compete in motocross tournments. They do have little kid sized bike though. Little Z50s and such. Not at all unusual. In Germany, they sell kid sized bikes that can go VERY VERY FAST as toys. You're not allowed to d...

Mine's pretty similar to iceman's... it involves a 220V AC, two nails, a horseshoe magnet, a toddler (me), and a very bright blinding flash of light (several minutes blindness actually). The magnet had a very thin (<1mm) red plastic "isolation" around it... lucky me didn't touch the nails ...

2d-tron doesn't let you switch cameras whenever you please. I never said I wanted this overhead view exclusively. :-)

juwb: you get some bonus points from me for not saying something like "I'm no programmer, but I bet this is easy to implement" :) You should probably take these points back and ban me from the forum, because I actually am a (hobby) programmer, know how hard these things are to implement, ...

That would be a bug; what and how are you trying to set them? Whoops. I'm using Gentoo, so I thought to get my Gentoo optimization settings, it would be enough to just run `source /etc/make.conf'. Commands like `echo $CXXFLAGS' etc. showed the correct settings then. However, your mentioning ...

Hi, just a minor problem when compiling 2.8.0-beta2... running configure --help says: ... Some influential environment variables: CC C compiler command CFLAGS C compiler flags LDFLAGS linker flags, e.g. -L<lib dir> if you have libraries in a nonstandard directory <lib dir> CPPFLAGS C/C++ preprocesso...

Deutsch forum?

Hello, just by randomly browsing through the forums I found several threads which were (partially) written in German. On some occassions, this seems to have annoyed people who don't understand the language (which is perfectly understandable -- you can't follow a discussion when you don't understand ...

some crazy ideas

Hi, first off: I've never ever seen the movie. Probably not much room for ideas if you have to stick strictly to the movie, huh? Anyway, here goes. 1. Slopes. The flat floor is so boring... why not put some slopes in it? So you could build maps with hills on it. You get slower driving up a slope and...

I just installed 2.8.0_beta2. Seems to work fine. However, I can't seem to find out where the movie packs (for the faster computers) and the models (to use one of the 8poly's I downloaded on the slow machine) go... I put them into my ~/.armagetronad/resource directory, seems that was wrong? Anyway. ...
