Burnin' Up

Post by Lucifer »

Damn, it's 103 outside right now (that's 34 for you SI folks). I don't think I've ever seen the weatherman so wrong before. He was forecasting high 80s today, and boy was he wrong.

103 °F = 39 + 4/9 °C
93 °F = 33 + 8/9 °C
80 °F = 26 + 2/3 °C

I thought the 34 was wrong. The converter I used (too lazy to use the formula) told me 34.

If it's easy to represent as 4/9, why round? (or round up?)

Well, if you'd like to recognize Texas as an independent nation, than I'm sure Texans will be happy to recognize international standards. ;)

But I consider an answer around 300 worse, and I think more people will be converting to another unit.
