A bit of assistance needed.

Post by fuzzgoblin »

I had to re-install Armagetron because I downloaded and installed a moviepack, and when I started Armagetron after the installation of the moviepack I got an error saying that the program couldn't open some .jpg file. So, after I re-installed Armagetron everything was fine, but there wasn't
any of the Tigers Network servers shown on the server browser. I tried the
custom connection thingy, but that didn't work either. So yeah, help please.

try reinstalling to a fresh directory.

and if you feel like it, introduce the graphics from the moviepacks slowly and try to see which one in particular the game has trouble with- then we can fix whatever's causing the problem.

I uninstalled Armagetron and installed it again, didn't help. I also installed to a different directory, didn't help. I think games just hate me.

That is super weird then. You are installing http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/arma ... .2.6.0.exe yes?

Yes, I also tried the 0.2.5.2 version, but that didn't work either.

It works, but it doesn't show the Tigers Network servers in the server browser , as I said before. Also, it doesn't show the Armagoshdarn and Armagoshdarnish servers.

That would be because these servers no longer exist :(. As for the tigers network... You've scrolled through the entire list? Check armagetronroot/var/frommaster.srv and see if anything shows up. In fact, do any online servers show up?

They don't? Well, that sucks. I have scrolled the entire list and I checked the
frommaster.srv file, nothing there either. For the online servers, a couple of the Spacezone servers show up, Joda's Wild Teams, CyberTong(?), The Ring Community Server, Breakfast of Champions, Pirate Week, The Middle District (Devel Test Server), ArmaSmegTron and machine.

Ok, I know what is wrong then... Or wait... Maybe the master server simply does not have the Tigers Network servers in itself.
