Partial Downtime...

Post by Tank Program »

Tomorrow sometime between 9 and 10 local time (GMT+1) I expect to take my main server down for relocation. This effects the main armagetronad.net site, the paypal link at the bottom, the servers list on the main page, and when you post you'll get an error in regards to e-mail. Do NOT refresh the page and accidently post again, despite the error your post will be posted, just no email notifications will be sent during this period.

I just got this, after a long time of getting no response, when I tried to view Support and This System.
Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to armagetronad.net:80 in /wwwroot/armagetronforums/includes/page_header.php on line 259

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /wwwroot/armagetronforums/includes/page_header.php:259) in /wwwroot/armagetronforums/includes/page_header.php on line 497

It was located before even the doctype.

Seems to be a temporary problem.

Weird. I'll try to keep an eye on it.

It's happened twice on the forum index now, but fortunately without the long wait. The first time it disappeared after two refreshes, and the second time it did in the future, if at all.

Currently it happens at over 50% of my accesses. With the long wait… :(

Maybe you're just really unlucky? I don't seem to see it happening ever :/.

Well, it doesn't always happen. But when it happens it often keeps happening for a while. Maybe you're just checking at the wrong time (or I am).

I haven't found a pattern. In GMT+1 we have at least (based on the above posts)

Just happened again on the forum index. At first I thought it was the QoS of this connection (sometimes I have to retry 2 or more times until it gets through - and that's just the web; gaming is total crap), but after a few retries I decided to just leave it alone, and after a while it popped up.

2:14 GMT+1 (hmmm, pattern?)
(edit: probably more like 2:16 on the server clock)

I've had this happen, too. Last time was two days ago, or somewhere in-between.
