View post since last visit (upgrade)
Hi,
The "view posts since last visit" is now an absolute requirement for me. I find it so practical to be able to have a quick way to access all that has changed since my last reading. But sadly, the system has a few hickups.
first, I think some sub-sub rooms are not included in the search. I have the feeling that every sub rooms under graphical enhancement arent presented. But I coould be wrong.
Second, due to the occasional crash in the computer, viewing from another browser (IE/mozilla/firefox/netscape/links/lynx/opera/etc), or other miscelaneous mishaps, an double log-in comes and "erase" the information of the post not yet visited.
What if it was possible to say which login time to use for the "view post since...". I'm quite sure it would be easy to save the logins of an user, and under the search page, to propose them (or the last X) in some drop box. Should any mishaps force an user to relogin, that user could go and set the time used for the "view post since ..." to the most appropriate of his/hers previous logins.
What is the feasibility of such a system? Is it something that could be expected to be accomplished easily?

sorry to kick this ol' topic of lore, but i've found a mod which.. well:
[edit] here it is: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=309059
Right now i'm looking for the page on phpbb.com where i found it, but the searchfunction there is painstakingly slow so ill edit it in later, anyhow here's the mod itself. This mod keeps the unread flags for a topic active until the topic is read.
