toursumo.tk questions & answers

Post by Concord »

Delta has decided it is his job to hack toursumo.tk. He claims to want to help, but I have asked him several what fixes I should make, and he refuses to say. I learned php and mysql about 8 weeks ago, I'm not claiming to be an elite coder like Delta, but he thinks it's some sort of game.
Concord: so far you have not helped at all, you have just hacked and cheated.

Concord :then help and tell me what to fix. instead you are just causing problems.

Delta: It's not just you! http://toursumo.tk looks down from here.

Concord: ?

Delta: your site is so easy to deface..
took me 3minutes lol

just saying, don't do it this way 'help or me suspended' it will turn out badly

Concord: if you want to help, you could. clearly you want to harm.

Delta :No, I wanna help but not for nothing. And I am showing you how insecure it is.
its 101%hack & deface-able..

Concord: yeah i get the point, how should I fix it?

Delta: I can tell you where it is, and how to fix it, if I get something in return..

Concord: haahahahahahaahahah
He seems to want me to pay him to stop hacking and fix it. He has threatened and followed through on threats to deface the site.

Great it's hackable. Who cares? It's not like there's personal information on the site. If you're hacking it you're trying to cheat and Concord could and should take it down.

Great thinking there Elmo... What we should do is fix it/help Concord fix it.

Concord: Get a primer on working with bzr or git, publish the source on launchpad or github or bitbucket or whatever, and I'm sure all the people around these forums who have an interest in PHP and your league will gladly help. Feel free to show up on IRC if you need live help.

And whoever this Delta guy really is is a disgrace. I'm aware there is someone who goes by the alias Delta, but nothing tells me they are the same person. I invite you to think similarly. edit: And if you think they are, just commenting about your distrust is redundant to this thread. I might have started that. Sorry.

If so, I am not surprised.
Unless this was in game/on IRC and the person was logged in or Concord has an IP address for the person, what epsy said is true; there's no way to tell if they are the same person.

And mine was as well. I don't think moderators should delete relevant posts that they don't agree with.

Since I am asked, I will post a reply.

First it started with some little bugs how I could validate everyone easily.
I told Jericho this, and asked him to say it to you.
I asked him if I could look further for more flaws, and he agreed.

The more I looked, the more I saw how easy it was to manipulate the system.
(ex. adapting points, sqli, I could even deface the site or make an instant redict to another (harming) site.)
Of course I haven't done this, instead of a redicting , I just let some text appear, but the principle is the same.

First you didn't seem interested though..

You reacted very uninterested when I said that the WAR match was canceled without any legal reason.
But back to the subject,
I had some tons of bugs, and it isn't just a little new code, sometimes is a whole bunch you need to add/adapt.
So I suggested to be an admin/technical supporter of the site containing:
- working on new things with you for the site
- fixing all the bugs & adding a good security

but you just FULLY ignored it, not even said you liked or didn't liked it.
You kept asking the same question,
so I said I wanted something in return.
this something is not money (like wtf I want money Oo)
this something is admin, and I thought/think you know that..

but instead of replying, you just said 'hahahahahahaha'.

for the record:
I never hacked your site, I was looking for flaws, with permission.
I just tried to find bugs, if I wanted to **** the site, I would just delete players, adapt points etc.

I am still willing to help you fixing up the site,
but I can't just explain all because it might be not clear for you.
This is why I want to be technical supporter, which results in a better site for you, for me and for every player :)

Greetings,
Delta

you've proved yourself very worthy of being an admin, yes?

I should trust you enough to hand the whole thing over. I have no idea who you are, and whenever I play in a server with you, you are a complete jerk. Why would I trust you at all?

If you wanted to help you could have. You've made it very clear what your goals are.

I wouldn't even think of deleting the sumotour, reasons:
1. you always have a backup, so the site is back online in 5minutes
2. I wouldn't be able to play in it again
3. I would be even more hated Oo
4. What do I win here :o

Why it would be better with me:
1. I can make new things, or help you
2. site development will go easier & faster
3. I can write some scripts, which I enjoy :)
4. you will have a secured site

I'm not going along with the "I won't help unless I'm given something." You're a jerk, and I don't want anything to do with you.
