Screenshots are coming out oddly

For awhile now my screenshots have been coming out oddly, which is irritating. Anyone know why this happens? They come out slanted and greyish.

This has come up a few times, including recently. Use a resolution that's a multiple of 4 pixels wide, or fix the bug. You can even largely restore the screenshot.

I'm still amazed at Jonathan's fixing of the pictures

I finally reported the bug. That may be more productive than being a show-off and restoring screenshots (although it isn't that hard).

I tried out the --videoout option to pipe the raw video to avconv (ffmpeg) like this.

The screenshot bug is already fixed in my version, but same happens for --videoout if I use my laptops native resolution and fullscreen as you can see here:

Where is the place to fix that?

Fixed in 0.4 revision 1478. I'd recommend that for those video recordings, you stick to standard resolutions; some playback devices are picky and do not play back everything.
