Keys arent working??? Clan Tag Difficulties

My = sign is not working whatsoever, I can't put it in my name i cant set any of my keys to use it, nothing. I've tried re-installing the game multiple times but and i dont know how to fix it. Also my brackets [ and ] are pushed over one space, so i cant use | or \ , which may tie into the first problem. Any help is appreciated.

I'd use them for non-turning functions, not neccessarily ingame playing buttons, but things like spectator mode etc. .
the real problem is that I want to put my clan tag on, and also be able to actually use my = instead of having to say "equals sign" or "equals". It's convienant to have it available.

I meant, what keys do you normally have to press to produce the equal sign?

the usual = and + sign next to the backspace button
