Hi im am using a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard (10.6.6) and using Arma Adv v2.8.3.1. I m familiar with coding and creating the files but after I configure my autoexec.cfg on TextEdit,my autoexec.cfg will transfer, but wont work in Arma when I type:|console| include autoexec.cfg

... I would also like some help downloading and using STY... I can screen share with anyone and I'm on Arma almost everyday| my iChat is : tennisboy201, my Arma name is : DJ SMELLYGINGER. Thanks!

Did you save the file in text mode? TexEdit defaults to Rich Text, which arma can't read.

Yes it is saved as autoexec.cfg and its a txt (Plain Text File). My friend who used to run servers helped me with making files but I am not sure what to do with the files. Iwill post pictures down below. I selected most of the coding for them. Would you like me to post the file?

you're supposed to save it as a .cfg file , so name is just autoexec and the file extension is .cfg

The format and file name I see on the screenshot are probably correct. But it looks like you made an alias to the actual file? That would break it.

Note for you experienced people: a Mac alias isn't the same as a symlink, although they look alike in the Finder. I think the size of 98 KB is indicative of an alias.

My friend changed the file from a disc image but nothing else has happened to it. All I want to do is open a LAN Server and type in :CONSOLE- include autoexec.cfg. Is it really as complicated as you say? Can anyone like screen share with me or walk me through it? Thanks.
