Mercam Revisited

I stumbled upon Mercam in 0.3.0 and was surprised with by its glancing. Anyone still use it? Anyone optimize settings? Has anyone ever thought of tweaking it for future versions? Anyone never heard of it?

I use mercam in some servers, like High Rubber servers. I change CAMERA_MERCAM_XYDIST 40 and CAMERA_MERCAM_Z to 20 to get a wider view with FOV 120. I still use the Custom Camera FOV 90 for Sumo/Fortress. Mercam seems to really offer a much more stable view than Smartcam. Can be nice in Capture the Flag also, with all the "wiggling" Custom cam can seem to really cause some dizziness at times.
