Monthly Sumo Tournament

I think its time to implement a permanent Sumo Monthly Tournament.

official date will be 2nd Sunday Monthly(if Ladle takes place on the 2nd Sunday, then the tournament will move to 3rd Sunday)

Also what kind of Sumo tournament should it be?

I think it should be a WST with 4v4 and a bigger zone.

Also lets not rule out 1v1 or TsT or classic sumo

Maybe every 4months one of these could take place in place of the Official Sumo Monthly Tournament.

Idk man sounds like a good idea, but we also have TST,WST and the SB tourneys during within the year, but maybe we could host more TST,WST and SB tourney then we do now, i still think Ladles is good enough for once a month TBH

To keep it fresh, it shouldn't be one fixed type of sumo tournament. Why not have a list of possible sumo tournaments to pick from, and rotate accordingly? For example, TST, Sumo, Sumo 1v1.

Or how about we start out with something like very basic WST settings (or settings voted on by the people), and then revise the settings with monthly votings, just as is done with Ladle?

Hmm. Mkay has a point. I think though, that having so many tournies wouldn't so much dilute the meaning of a win, but would dilute the pressure/anxiety/all that good stuff of a tourney.

I'm okay with monthly sumo tournies though. And I say if you do, you should rotate them between TST WST and singles. Then every once in a while you can throw in sb and low rubber and stuff.

I don't think we should do this. 1 sumo tourney a month (preferably the WST) would be good in a way that more people would hopefully start helping me and luck out with the tourney but the more often a tourney is played, the less interesting and enjoyable it seems. The TST is only played a handful of times a year to keep it fresh and exciting. Playing the TST every month would get pretty boring.

We already have somewhat of a cycle in place, WST every 2 months, Tst is usually 3+, 1v1 SB, and regular is every couple months.
