changing name of user_level

Post by Tannermon11 »

I'm on windows vista 64 bit just so you know.
In the language file in english_base_no_translate there is a section where it has some access_levels. How would you change or add names to that list? Thanks

# yet undefined access levels, reserved for future use (we only want them to pop up for
# translators then)

You just edit them is that file. However, that is absolutely not recommended. PRU has a server where they rebranded the access rights to mafia structure, and it's utterly confusing.

Strongly agree. I told Word the first day it went up, or shortly thereafter. (He said he agreed and see to them being reverted. :| )

That said, is Tanner wanting to change the actual titles, or just wanting to translate those to another language (seems reasonable)? Or perhaps actually just asking how to add people's names and change their access level?

But they're just ranks, an order. If you know your military ranks (many people, including me, don't), you know who is above and below you. But there is no natural rank that everyone will immediately identify as the one enabling you to control what other players can say. With the default names, those functions are clear. Moderators have that power.
