1. Go to http://www.ventrilo.com
2.Go to download and download the correct CLIENT(the first one is going to be for majority of window users)
3.Time to install! Follow the steps. Its pretty easy
4.Now run ventrilo!
5.You should now get a client screen!
6.Okay first thing first, Lets make you a name! Click on the arrow that i have highlighted in the pic.Okay after that a "set up new user" box should pop up. Go ahead and press new and type in your name(Tron name perferd) click okay and okay, your now set!
7. Lets get you connected to a server so you can talk to your tronner buddies! Okay first click the arrow that is highlighted. Then a "Connection Editor" screen should show up. Now click the new button(as highlighted) type in a nic name for the server(mines arma) next fill in the fields)server:vent.theserverpharm.net Port:3784 and press okay! (also talk.theserverpharm.net also works)
8. You should know have this message in your client, this is good, now press Connect.
You'll now be in the server. You'll hear people talking and chatting and havin a good ole time! But your not done yet!
9.You should have all these buttons down the right side of your client. Connect, Comment, Chat, Setup, About, Close, Help. Click Setup. Now Look at the upper left screen of Setup. Make sure you have these check and only these. Now hover your mouse over the white space next to Hotkey. Now click it once with ur mouse, it should now say "mouse: button 1" okay now after you clicked, select your official hot key button(press whatever you like, I use Ctrl on the right side of the keyboard), Your white area should now say whatever your new hotkey is (instead of mouse:button 1). ALSO make sure you have your correct input set!.
10. Now you should be able to talk while holding down your hot key. Red means your not talking, Green means your hotkey is down and you'll be able to speak into ur mic.
BIG TIPS
Wear ear phones when on vent!! if you talk while another person is talking and u dont have ear phones, you will echo and we will rage and kick you off vent
