Help :(

Post by Sabarai »

As you can notice I'm trying to get a new signature. It's this picture, motioning, but the link won't work. Can someone please either tell me the right link or upload this picture somewhere and tell me that link please?

I used to have problems with that .gif when people used it in the other forums, and I'm running a cable connection, it slowed my pages down a lot, it could make icemans computer explode.

It eats up cpu cycles and if you have multiple posts on a page you will be slowing things down even more.

This connection typically reaches 300 KB/sec down, but 700 KB sig images aren't always the only thing going over the line. Btw, what I hate most when browsing here is when images in sigs don't have size attributes (is it even possible in BBCode?) and stuff constantly moves out of the way when another image header is parsed, while you are just trying to read new posts.

Well, my computer sure sounds like it is exploding when I view this image. Course, that's because Konqueror is crappy ad dynamic content and uses 100% CPU power for this tiny little thing ( and it can't even display it at full speed ). Since on a p4 laptop, 100% CPU usage means NOISE, I'll just add this image to the blocklist.
And Iceman won't have a right to complain, didn't he have these two street fighters animated in his own sig? Not that it would stop him from complaining :)

Iceman's sigs and avatars usually slow my computer up, even to the point once where if I had a browser open to one of them, he'd reduce my arma fps to 1/4 of it's potential.

Of course, if Sabarai manages to get this into his sig, then it'll do the same thing. :(

Why can't you just make a clickable link to it? I'm a big fan of lightweight webpages that load lightning-fast. What's the point of having a high speed internet connection if I'm still waiting several seconds for the damn page to render in my browser?
