Next Tournament Sign-up / Server Q.

Post by Seleucus »

First how do I sign up for next tourney.

Second what do I need to know in order to host my own dedicated server like armagoshdarnish for example.

Oh yea, one last thing, the armagoshdarnish person said that if someone could give the the php code to parse up the data for the ladders nicely then that is all they need to finish their site. He said he has not had time. Any help anyone? Thnx.

The GLL (http://mxii.com/tron) would be more then happy to do it for armagoshdarnish, all that's needed is live http or ftp access to the var directory.

Also, we should create a PHP signup page for the Tournament, so we can see exactly how many people are interested...

Just go to http://www.armagetrontournament.tk/ and put your name down. We really need to see who's interested in this first, before we get real teams, etc. We'll contact people via the board I think, but have a nice list there. Or, I'll add an email feature to it. It was just something I slapped together while learning php, so if you think it sucks, get the hell off my forms :P. Just kidding, but I think that is the best way to keep track of people for now.

Edit: The reason that there is the timezone thing is because the Armagetron community is spread across the world. Know what timezone people are in makes it easier to choose a time when everyone would be awake anyway. So Seleucus, I have deleted your registration so that you can go back and put a proper answer there, you are not in timezone any.
