I used to use wise ftp but a couple of days ago i got CuteFTP 7 Professional. Ive only used it a few times but it seems to have everything that you need plus some.

So i was just wondering what everyone else uses?.

FTP is evil. It's insecure, perhaps the most insecure thing out there next to telnet. I am extremely close to removing it from my server entirely.

So I use SCP (or SFTP), which uses an SSH connection instead.

Here's an open source client. http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng/index.php

I just type in 'ftp' from a 'cmd' window.

Told you I was old school.

For "serious" stuff i like putty, not that it's an efficient ftp client... but it has SSH and server signatures etc.

Yeah i know you told me the other day. I thought it would be cool to have something that like websyncronizer i can choose a folder on my computer and a file on the server the ftp then checks for differences in file propertys such as date and then only uploads the ones that have chnaged. Which im sure Cute Ftp Pro 7 does. Well it should for $60!!!!!

I have been meaning to have a look at putty for a while now. There are some serious security issues with versions prior to PuTTY 0.57

BulletProof FTP (WAYYYYY back in the day)

Tried several others, but never took much note of them.
