In the Advanced > Virtual Server tab;

Name: Whatever
Private IP: IP of the computer on the network
Protocol: UDP
Private Port & Public Port: 4532 <-- This is the port armagetron uses

Or you can enable a DMZ host, which exposes all ports of the Private IP Computer to the internet.

Note: For my router (I have a linksys), you can not forward ports or have a dmz host with DHCP enabled on the router. You must be using static IP addresses.

I'm pretty sure your friend will have to turn off dhcp on the router.

Everything is fine except this bit. It's port 4534, not 4532.

ok now... one step at the time...
still no sign of the server, but the other computer connected to the router can detect it on the LAN GAME section of armagetron.

here some other pictures...
and nemo talk about static IP, i found a section in the router dedicated for that. could you help me to fill the blank.

Yea, the Static DHCP option will work.

Enable it;
Name: Whatever
IP: The private ip address you want the computer to have all the time
MAC address: Go into the system profiler Application (Applications > Utilities),
then go to the Network option, and select the interface you are using (I assume Built-in Ethernet). Your mac address is the Ethernet address (example: 00:0b:95:b2:7a:c4)

I dont know what the DHCP client option does (what are the options in the list?)

OT: The static DCHP thing sounds like a nice option. I have to run my network of quite a few computers off of static IP addresses just because I want to forward some ports to one damn computer :|

Edit: dlink has a nice example interactive example of the interface at http://support.dlink.com/emulators/di60 ... izard.html
