Post by HEXadecimal »

does anyone know why tron isnt on the apt-get list for ubuntu. it would be much easier.

second, when i try to install it using the bin it gives me this:

edit has not been able to detect the character coding.
Please check that you are not trying to open a binary file.
Select a character coding from the menu and try again.

Forced me too compile,

lastly, good job of getting a deb.

The error you posted sounds like you tried to open the package in an editor; you're not supposed to do that. You're supposed to save it somewhere and call it from a shell.

There is a long wiki article about it:
http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php/ ... eld_Report

This section of it is the autopackage installation core:
