AFL Summer Signup!

AFL Summer Signup has started. The deadline for team signups for Summer 07 is June 5.

To sign up:

Get your team together. You will field a maximum of 5 in a game, but your roster may have up to 10. If you show up to a game with more than 5, you will be allowed to use alternates and give your first stringers a rest. You are encouraged to alternate everybody in so that everybody gets to play, remember, this is not a professional league, and we're all here to have fun!

Then go to the wiki and sign your team up. Create a page that will contain your roster, and link it from the signup page. On June 6, all of the roster pages will be locked, and your roster will be set in stone for the Summer season for all practical purposes.

The first games will be played on July 4 or July 8. July 4 is a big holiday for US players, so we won't be scheduling any US teams to play on that day unless they especially request to start on that day. Games will be finished by the end of July, with a knockout tournament in August.

Special note: The league itself is still planning to some degree how the competition will be conducted, so some pages may be revised. We wanted teams to be able to begin signing up so we can start working on the schedule.
