Updated default skin

Post by Lucifer »

I guess wrtlpwned did some work on his skin, now it's running fast for me, so I enabled it as the default wiki skin.

Edit: Someone remind me in the next couple of days to download all the images he made and put them on the server. :)

I like it, but the black grid background is a bit too dark. How about replacing it with this:

Er, that's the old one. Heh.

Talk to wrtlpwned about it, I thought it was kind of dark too but didn't have anything specific to improve it. The main content area is certainly bright enough, it's only where the navigation links are that it might be a problem, imo.

Edit: I'm smoking crack. Still need to talk to wrtlpwned about it, though.

Ya, that were the problem for me was too. The navigation area. That old grid seemed to work back in the day :P.

I can read it just fine… And I don't see how the navigation is any different from the content area (except for the section headings, but they're bold and white, so the dark background is needed for that).
I could change the opacity of the alphatransparent PNG used as the background for the content area and navigation, though.

The default grid color changed in 0.2.8, so I used it for my background :)

Yeah, that's why I said I was smoking crack. The only places where it feels to dark, I think, are outside the main content areas and link areas, but there's nothing there for it to matter, it just feels creepy like there should be something.

Anyway, don't worry about it yet, I'm hoping to get the wiki upgraded and then some new stuff installed/enabled, and we should look at it after that. Unless I don't get to it.
