Rubber Problem in MidgetLand

Post by kaosratchet »

I started hosting MidgetLand recently, but I can't seem get the very high rubber to deteriorate. Especially when you reach 480, the rubber begins to just not run out fast enough for the game to be any fun at all. Which setting controls rubber decay and anything affecting it? I'm still a noob, so any help is appreciated.

You could increase CYCLE_RUBBER_TIME. If you don't want your cycles to be invincible, you have to set it bigger than CYCLE_RUBBER * CYCLE_SPEED. People will still be able to survive quite infinitely with that setting by ironing the rim, so you want it set way higher. I'd suggest 1E+30, then rubber practically does not restore at all. That's what I would do if I ever got crazy enough to increase CYCLE_RUBBER above 10 on a server where there is supposed to be good gameplay.
