Game Admins Only Section?

Thanks to a section fro ishAdmin a while back, I'm considering creating a special section for Server Administrators only, where we can list IPs of evil players, etc. If you're a server admin, please reply & list what server you administrate. If there are enought (3 or 4 min) I'll create this section, and we can start weeding some assholes from the game.

Im not an admin of any server, but for some reason namco keeps getting pissed at me for nothing!

I have been playing in a server for 20min and all the sudden she somes in and without me doing anything she says "Dont talk to be Zapple" so I dont and she starts saying bad crap about me, And she was the one who knew I was in the server and she came.

Well, you know I'd like to have a game host only section. Do I make number 3? Egg, where is ya?

Zap, nemco said 'don't talk to me'. You obviously took offense to that, as your reaction showed this. But the thing is, you ended up being the much more abusive participant in the exchanges. I personally recommend you ignore people you don't get along with. My two cents.

zapple there is a reason, you have insulted her before and a lot of other players (including me when ive used another name) in just about every server

and if anyone asks the other players that were in the game at the time they will find out that it was you that started on her after she said that the "server was laggy" you started up saying "she was gay" , "you want to punch her in the face" , "she sleeps with her dad" etc etc etc

just ask ISH ADMIN if you need confirmation

ive watched you many times in spectator mode after i received bad emails about you and this kind of thing often happens then later if a server is empty you then try to say sorry for the way you behave ????

it seems like you just want to show off in front of your equally stupid friends

sorry but you are just a weird freak and you really need to grow up

Could the admin section be readable for non admin.

Ok ok, I know the argument of "if they can read about the bugs, they dont get to knwo about them" but security by obfuscation was never that great a measure.

On the plus side, new admin could find and join the forum easier, and ppl in general could benefit from your discussions or at least get to know about your concerns.

maybe the admin only section should be private and invisible (like on my forum) so that you can discuss things between yourselfs (like how your gonna bomb the abusers IP

)

I'm personnaly agains any kind of bombing and repraisal!

Never fix the problem, and makes sure a problem user becomes a pissed user with a vengance.

You dont need much privacy to ban an ip, and it MAY (may, conditionnal....) make the user realise his mistake.

But other than banning and kicking out users (and IP) admin dont get that much power over the problem. So you need developers (and general user) to be aware of new problems to lend a hand.

I dont beleive much in secret forums, they only ppl who dont get the info are either not interested, or the ones that could help you. Abusers seems to have their own network of mischeifs.

Ok ok, sorry for what I say, I didnt start anything, when she came in the game, then someone else comes in the game I say Hey
and she starts yelling Dont talk to me!

I see the main purpose of a game host only forum is to discuss what should otherwise be confidential information. Things like IP's. I don't believe this information should ever be public, as it can be used against people over petty reasons. The alternative is we email each other, but that isn't nearly as convenient or cohesive. It would allow us to discuss other items in private, like blacklists etc. I won't be discussing any of that in an open forum. If the various game hosts want to try and help each other, I believe this is the best way to do it semi-privately.

I also think that only established server hosts should get an invitation. This would be up to tank grant anyway. But just because Frank's Ding Dong Palace comes on the scene, it doesn't mean he gets in right away.

If not here, it could be set up somewhere else. I think this is the best place for it though.

btw the bombing part was a joke if you didnt realise already

but i do have an invisible private room on my forum just for the mods and me where we have in the past discussed the behavior of certain board members and game players

you need to ask tank about those files, he has them logged on his network
