with different ways of self-organising
so that the rules that evolve work...
imho

regarding money...
my idea is low cost entry fee
say £1 or €1 or $1
and a clever network distribution system
which avoids centralisation and thus capitalisation
-
the result?
no-one gets screwed
and those who deserve it
get money

and @alex:
the developers have produced an amazing game
especially the fortress setting arena
and now i think it is up to the players of this marvellous game
to find the best way for showing off their skill
by organising amazing tournaments
and take this game to a higher level

eg
i was playing the ladle at my brother's house
and he was interested enough to suggest
that he would like to see clips
like what you'd see of a sport's game
and there were things happening in that quarter final
uk v a2
which amazed me
and i would love to have just shown him something
like a quicktime movie

my suggestion is
we try out different things
and run them concurrently
and eventually we will hit on the right strategy
that will set this game on fire

hmm....
hold the line

completley off topic to the last few posts but a thought just came to me. is there an equivalent of the golden boot for this tourney? a "golden bike" award for person who scores most points.

For a future country based tournament, maybe make the winning coutry's flag here on the forum show a fancy world cup trophy? This one had a little too many problems and should rather be seen as a rehearsal.

Too bad, he had potential. Well hidden, but the next ITW would have gone better. Anyway, of this ITW's admins, there's still Dez left, right?

Gep, gratz. Funnily, UK played better after they lost one player. Or Germany played worse, feeling too secure.
