Actually, it was more of a rant that the music industry is forcing talent out and in replacement puts dollars, not the music itself.
Sorry, end of rant.

Ok, but why did I add this signature? I was like 15 and thought I was smart? What a brat.

Yeah I remember that too. I always thought the song was an about the super-ridiculous macho types we all might encounter occasionally; and attacking their masculinity with gay references would be the most offensive thing you could say to a person like that. I never once thought the Descendents were anti-gay, since there isn't a single lyrical reference anywhere else that reflects that - not in ALL lyrics either. I don't know enough about Black Flag though.Phytotron wrote:...and I remember firsthand of them first sort of trying to change the lyrics—"you f'ing lame"—and later just dropping the song from their shows.

Ok, I will try to be good to this topic.
When I heard Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony 3, I thought I was hearing the highlight of classical music. Extraordinary. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s85-eGytiag
I have always loved the music of Styx just due to the fact they could always pull of such a good range. The band who did Babe did Renegade. Go figure.
Gary Numan has to be one of the most creative keyboardists ever. And, he explored so many themes in his music.
Sorry again Dubs for my rant. I am just mad about the direction of the music industry nowadays, not near as much as the singers. (Come, they all just want money.)

"You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one;
I hope some day you will join us, and the world can live as one"
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
I believe that to truly love is the ultimate expression of the will to live.

Re: Favourite Songs/Artists
Ok, I am finally gonna weigh in my opinion on this topic.
I used to be pretty big into music, here is the list of instruments I have played. Sousaphone, Baritone Horn, Trombone, Bass (Contrabass The one that stands up) Bass Guitar, Cello, Piano (Accompanied the High School Choir Some) I am a true 1st tenor, and did a little studio work in my youth. As a result my musical tastes are truly eclectic. I listen mostly to music from the following Genres. Folk, Blues, Classic Rock, Jazz (all types), Classical (Operas, All types of Concertos, Symphonies, from any period, 12 tone Classical), Swing, Big Band era, All Christian forms of all music except the boring ones (no Gospel, but all forms of Christian Rock), Old School Country music, Bluegrass, Western.
I have an approximately 60gb music collection that I have built legally, by ripping mp3's from ShoutCast radio stations using StreamRipper. In America, we can legally record music from radio stations. I do also buy some CD's.
Here are some of my fav's.
