RECORDINGS!

i would love to get my hands on a recording of a game
any game

if anyone records
can we please make a note of
1
the version of the recording
and 2
the key map

without both
recordings are useless!

may also be useful to break up the recordings
especially the longer games in the final
because replaying them can take forever...
hold the line

In the interest of performing at my peak skill level, I'm not going to let planning for Ladle 19 distract me, I know it was someone's clever plan all along , , but I'm in favor of finding some system for the captains to set up provisional match ups, as in past Ladles.

{PinkTomato} Fortress has max 16 players. Is this going to be a problem? Also, ¦×¦ Fortress (currently named ¦×¦.Team.Sumo.Fortress) only has 18.

Z-man's server isn't running yet. Would be nice to test out the pings.

Sorry about that, I used the wrong binary to start it, whoops ^^. Now running 20090125, is that recent enough :)?

After testing Flex's server 6v6 or so Flex, kyle, epsy and I agreed that the final server should be changed to Z-Man's.

Flex's was having spontaneous pauses that are not terribly concerning for an opening round match, but would likely anger two teams in the final.

We chose Z-Man's because it as close as we get to an official server, it's stable and has relatively (to ct or x servers) good pings for Americans.

I like how somebody edited the new ladder. Now we just need a 3rd place spot. (I propose the maps be the same as the 2nd semifinal)

Yeah probably. If it turns out seeding teams is the way to go for future ladles, having a 3rd place spot might be helpful.

Z-man: Can you update your server (bzr pull, etc...)? There was some printf debugging left in by epsy that was going to the console. Might get a little annoying for players.

That's too bad. Could have had everyone play in the first round instead of two teams getting a bye.
