Thanks a lot MB53! Yeah I agree, the ability to shuffle up and down would be great for authenticated players - and would be useful for teaching new players how to play

It'd be cool if there was a way to prohibit a single person from shuffling (/ADMIN SHUFFLEBAN psy)

If shuffling is the only privilege for authenticated users, you can just use user_level to make the user shunned.

In the most extreme management case, there could be a script that checks every shuffle message with a time stamp of a previous one per user/position, and automatically writes a user_level shuffle -1 to that login, which later expires. That saves the moderators of getting accused of favoritism.

Please no. Imagine you are defending, and there are several noobs who don't want to be on the inside so they keep shuffling. What the heck are you supposed to do? Defend from the inside or get shuffle banned?

If only shuffling up can be taken into account then this will work.

I might be wrong but I think just like /invite, /shuffle is not written to the ladderlog, which makes it quite hard to check for shuffle messages.
