*cough* ok here we go, this is just off the top of my head and might be somewhat imprecise
Thor = Tor
Wotan = Odin
Tor: god of lightning and thunder (torden in norwegian) his day is thursday (torsdag in norwegian, literarily "Thors day"). A "trigger-happy" guy who likes to fight using his special throwing hammer called Mjølnir which would only obey his commands and always return to his hand after thrown hitting/missing enemies (kind of a boomerang effect). A sidenote: the symbol of Tors hammer is one of the most frequent symbols used by people with åsatru (the nordic religion) today: they usually wear a small "blunt" hammer as jewelry around their neck (hehe we're talking really small and light, like the size of the crosses some catholics wear).
Odin: top god, god of wisdom. His day is wednesday (onsdag in norwegian) gave one of his eyes for drinking from Mimirs well of wisdom deep below/among the roots of the world-tree Yggdrasil, conquered death through strangeling himself/hanging himself from a tree branch and swaying in the wind for three days or something like that before becoming alive again. Has two ravens as spies/messengers (Hugin and Munin) and two wolfes for somewhat similar purposes (forgot their names, but it's not Fenris that's a different wolf). His horse is named Sleipner and has eight legs.
About that bit on thunder: the norwegian/norse stories say that thunder is the direct consequence of Thor swinging or throwing Mjølnir (think sonic boom and/or impact) and as such not something Odin would be able to do at all. However there are differences between åsatru (the nordic religion) and other somewhat related faiths and I guess it's possible this is one such difference, i don't know.
