bug users / abusers

hey all

i play a lot on the norms server and am starting to get a bit fed up with a certain person repeatedly using / abusing bugs in the game to kill people.

dude you know who you are and if you can't kill me with out the bugs then start practising cause it blatantly sucks that you do it every time i play you and more than likely everytime you play everyone else.

grow up and play the game

I second that. What bug are you talking about? Nornm is running 0.2.8.1, so it may be the speed boost and artificial lag bug you can provoke easily. That one would be fixed in 0.2.8.2.1. So, if the suspicion is right, I'd ask Norm to upgrade. If there are problems with 0.2.8.2.1 that are the reason why he didn't already, I'd like to know those, too

its the artifical lag thing so the player jumps half the arena.

I only found out yesterday it was a bug, i was thinking it was just a dodgy connection for the last few weeks which the player found highly amusing and just laughed. They'll say something like, "get a better connection" or "weird, no idea why its happening". if it had been once i wouldnt be bothered but having played them plenty of times recently with the same thing happening each time its kinda annoying.

can you say who it was? because at the time of this thread, a person was saying how they changed their name to Audrey and used bugs and got kicked or banned from norms. But it wasn't actually audrey.

They said what they were doing, using an old version and binding brake to the mouse or something.

so yeah, just wondering who it was pezz?

If you do that trick, you add artificial lag indeed, but your bike is also totally uncontrollable and you're really easy to kill by a big, roomy box. At least, it was that way in my experiments. I don't remember whether I did anything against that particular thing. I probably only fixed it on the client.
