BUG cry abusers

For things that have to do with those crazy test servers... and yeah. By request of z-man, and, of course, you gotta obey...

BUG cry abusers

Post by Z-Man »

I value the input of everyone who uses the BUG cry feature to point out actual bugs or to point out the occasional griefer who is asking for a ban. Serious BUG reporters are the most important players on my servers, they're the ones that help it fulfill its purpose. They're the ones I listen to.
But if you abuse it just to get my attention or just to annoy me, you're nothing but wasting my time. The best thing this can get you is that you get put on the ignore list, both for the BUG cries and on the "I value your input" mental thing, because you're just showing you don't care what the servers are there for. I'll let you figure out for yourself what the worst thing is.

So, no more "BUG: <this guy> is a jerk!" ? Or "BUG: I'm supposed to be invincible!"

Ok....

The occasional fun bug cry is all right, provided you give real ones in between from time to time. You may want to point out the real ones explicitly to make sure I get them, though :)
I'm talking about people like schleim who make instantchats that go "BUG! THIS SERVER IS FULL OF BUGS!" and hit them every two seconds.

im not sure if this could be the right threadtto post this but i was playing sumo earlier today i think and when i entered the game everything was fine, there were about 8 players, then when the new round started none of the zones were visible. I cried BUG but the welcome message didnt say i could do that on the sumo server but i see another thread that says you can. I wasn't sure if the invisible zones was a bug or if it might have something to do with the initial connection to the server because usually when i connect to a server my ping jumps sometimes up to almost 3000 then wont drop til the new round starts

Ping fluctuations are beyond the scope of what software can fix. Sometimes, our network connection just is overloaded or something.

About the zone bug cry, please see here: http://forums.armagetronad.net/viewtopi ... 9571#59571
I'd need your client version.
