Has anyone had any luck with the Master Server recently? I haven't been able to connect for quite a while now.

I think multiple master servers would be the way to go.

sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, just the luck of the draw i guess and there has been talk about the developers in this forum to make a master server list, only problem is that they would need permission from Z-Man to do it and he isn't the easiest person to get a hold of

Why would we need permission? It's a free world! I've experimented and I can indeed run a master server. The only thing is that you can only use one master server. So, everyone would need to change their client configs to use a different, and everyone would need to change their server configs too.

I'm glad somebody can do it. I wasn't able to figure it out. I could only change the client side to point to a different master server. I couldn't set up the server side.
