Mistakenly banned?

For things that have to do with those crazy test servers... and yeah. By request of z-man, and, of course, you gotta obey...

Mistakenly banned?

Post by Van-hayes »

hello, I think that the player known as Zop might have been accidentally banned from CVS fortress when he comes in he is kicked out after a few seconds. I don't think he comes to the forums so I thought I'd ask to get it removed, unless there is a reason for the ban.
You've gone too far, turn back!

For some reason, while analyzing one of the pimp attacks, Zops IP landed on the suspect list. Sorry to Zop about that, I don't know how that happened. Anyway, he's now removed.
That mixup should also give you a reason why we don't have global banning in place :) And why I don't publish the IPs or IP ranges that get banned on my server.

I'd like to add that the phenomenon you refer to as Pimp is almost certainly not a single player. Similar incidents have been logged coming from far too many IP ranges. It's probably an interesting mental disorder :)
