Master Server setup

Post by Sniperiid »

Hi all,

How can I install/setup a Master Server? I searched through forum, but didn't found. I am stuck what parameters gets

Code: Select all

./configure
because --disable-glout just does dedicated...

I am not sure if this is wrong place about Support with Master Server... Give me a PM and move it to the right place.

See you later :)

Master servers are a central part of the whole system, so you can't just run one. Well, you can, but nobody is going to talk to it unless we set up the server and client distributions to do so, or if one of the four master servers goes out of business and we bend the DNS entry to it. I think four masters is more than enough for now :)

Why do you want to run one? If you really want to, use the --enable-master argument to configure, the master server will be built along with the main program, and init scripts and stuff will be created.
