I find that I play best when I am blazed out of my mind.
However, it is a know fact that team play is mastered by those who know how to cooperate and share tasks. Specifically one goalie, two guards (or fullbacks) to protect the goalie (the two most outside cycles should do this) and three middle attackers.

Also, it is helpfull to double team against the more seasoned players. Don't try to take on a Radian, Meriton, Van Hayes or a Mazzufer if you are a noob. Talk to a teammate and double team these mother *******!

to most of your post

and being zapped certainly intensifies the experience
especially if you try the incam

feather and a few others including meri and van i think
got together and played fortress with cockpit-only view
and it was the most intense and fun game i have had for a while...
only when all the players agreed

put that in your pipe and smoke it...
