Race Sumo Fortress with hidden shortcuts.

Designed a level that creates new, exciting, and challenging Armagetron game play? Or maybe just something funky. Put it right here.

Race Sumo Fortress with hidden shortcuts.

Post by ed »

I've updated what is now called "ed's Race Fortress" with a new map.
The server contains a map that looks like this:

Whereas the client will download from the repository a map that looks like this:

This creates hidden shortcuts to the center arena where a sumo style overlapping fortress battle will commence.

In practice in may be absolute rubbish.

Let me know what you think.

It is 8 players max, as my connection isn't as quick as it needs to be. Please live with fact that sometimes cycles aren't where they appear to be.

hmm, if you use glances to view "inside" the walls you can see where the holes are... maybe set the height of the walls that are inside others to 0 so you can't see them

Buy a Sprite and get a free Fuji disposable camera and a set of Duracell batteries half-off!

But scope! where's the unrelated dancing sexy girl? the club scene where people are drinking sprite, taking pictures, and conveniently running out of battery, and throwing out their new, tired Energizers, and putting in a new Duracell!
come on, gotta get on the ball

and about that girl you failed to mention... was she hot?

Naomi Klein? Yeah, I'd say she's rather attractive. And smart too! Oh wait, that doesn't count. Hmmph.

I count smart as hot. Maybe I'm weird though, but I like to think a woman will laugh at my jokes as I, um, er, family forums.

(my wife laughs at my jokes, it's really an interesting feeling, um, oooo, family forums, I'll stop now)

Oh, in reality I think intellect is an essential part of beauty. But I was carrying on the joke. :)

(Incidentally, Naomi Klein is the author of the book No Logo, which I consider required reading. I brought her up abstractly because part of that book deals with "synergy," which is the marketing and selling—co-branding—of apparently unrelated products, which comes about as the result of corporate mergers and aquisitions. A really nasty thing, if you ask me.)
