seti@home!!
So, does anyone do seti@home? They are located here and it's pretty cool. Basically you use space cpu cycles to analyze signals from radio telescopes... It's an addictive hobby to run it. I run it, does anyone else? Maybe we should get together and work on the same account, or on a group or something. (I'm at 9514 wus
) Anyway, I'm just curious...

Ah yes, space cpu cycles... everything is better in a vacuum. =)Tank Program wrote:Basically you use space cpu cycles to analyze signals from radio telescopes...
I used to use folding@home, but haven't in some time now. Both are worthwhile projects, but I think we are more likely to benefit from folding. If I'm wrong, though... Wow.
My spare cycles now go to encoding movies.'

yes i had thought of joining up about 7 months ago but decided against it (you know how much i hate linking up my pc to anything over the net !)
shame really i would like to help em out
the only reason i half trust linking up armagetron is because i can read the source code (still dont trust it fully, you never know what evil data is lurking in the stream ! lol)
