I am dead serious Tank, that is an awesome idea. Seriously, It just seems like such a wild and crazy idea, If someone made a ArmaROCKtron (though I'm already using that name, there can be double!) I will send you a pack of Gum, a big pack. PM me your address and I'll mail it to you, This isn't the first time I've talked to people from armagetron through the Mail service.

Right now, what you guys that want to make sound effects need to do is pretty simple.Raoul Duke wrote: well. i mean. i dont know how to make a sound pack. So it doesnt really matter.
Make whatever effects you want. Don't worry about whether or not the game supports them.
Output them to 16 bit 44.1khz .wav files. Make a text file that lists the files and what effect they represent.
If, after zipping, they're small enough to post here, then post them in the thread I'm about to link to. If they're not, post them somewhere where you can and link to them. If you have no such place, try either posting them on the wiki, or pm me and I'll make an ftp place or something. So you can send them to me.
Then go to that same thread and post the effects you've made.
If they're the very first effect of any new type, then as I add it to the code, your effect gets put by default into cvs. When I've finally put together a sound skin setup, then I'll take your effects and make a sound skin out of them (more than likely, or I'll post here and ask you to do it).
How we'll decide what gets included as the default sound effect setup I don't know, but I do know that the 16-bit 44.1khz files will be put into cvs under a new module that I haven't created yet.

Ha, you actually linked to the wrong post. But now I see that this was in regards to sounds captured from the original Tron arcade game which I did not know about when Phyto and I made "Original Arcade" (aka Coin-Op). I then doubled your work. Your captures were much better.Misery wrote:Why would someone copy and paste a post of mine from 2008? Must be a bot...

You could've linked to it.
