No more complaining about lag and crappy pings until you've done an internet speed test:

I got a killer 4.81 mbps download, but only 499kbps up, and tht dropped each time I ran the test.

Down: 1.91 Mbs
Up: 500 kbps
My connection is actually supposed to be 8Mb/1Mb, but the router my ISP gave me doesn't support those speeds. Free upgrade when they get the better ones in stock, so that should sort out soon.

Something must not be working very well. It claims my download speed is about 1 Mbps and upload about .5 Mbps. In practice I get 4.5 Mbps down and near 1 Mbps up.

4.99 Mbps Download
377 kbps Upload
Although... would the fact that I have 5 other thing going at the same time affect it? I have 2 browsers, 2 IM's and streaming video going.

Works very poorly if you're in Sweden... 1.9mbps down and 200kbps up. Which, if that was the case... Well, it's not so we don't have to worry about that
. Last time I ran an
accurate speedtest from home, I got about 7mbps/800kbps, which is way closer to spec. Only, that was when I had windows on my desktop, and I can't remember the name of the bloomin' app anymore. I'll ask my friend at school today, see what he says...

Got something like 800 kbps on both up down
@Tank: probably TPTEST
http://tptest.se/ you're thinking of, you can test speeds against a bunch of different servers in Sweden.
With TPTESTs standardtest I got 5.64Mbit/s down and 7.04Mbit/s up.
I'm using the Finnish University and Research Network
http://www.csc.fi/suomi/funet/index.html.en so that should explain the up speed

TPTest, that's the one. By far the best speed test thingy I've seen.
