do not let yourself be seduced into frustration, and there will be virtually no problems. for example i had a lot of fun with camper.
his offensive style was quite challenging, as you had to carefully try to keep his space small, so he couldnt camp in a big box. we managed this several times, but its actually very hard.
one solution for this problem is to have non-infinite walls (or something close to nearly non-infinite). i actually love servers which are configured this way, as they usually have the toughest gameplay, the tiniest boxes, and players managing to wiggle around even in these tiny boxes, making it fun and entertaining to watch.
when walls are infinite, pretty sooner or later this turns all into a merry-go-round game where everybody tries to draw the biggest circle around everyone else and in 90% of the case, the round ends in a who-makes-the-most-narrow-passage-quicker wallfight. its really boring to watch, and also doesn't improve short range fight skills. "who runs away best".
another good factor is walls-stay-when-dead. this way you can still make points even when you are dead, so no line you have drawn in the game has been done in vain. additionally, the playing field fills up, so the last remaining players have to have great navigation skills, and no box gets to o big so that someone could camp in (talking about 8-10 player rounds here, combine walls-remove-with-death with merry-go-round-games, and its really incredibly boring).
i think the armagetron.de renegade server offers a very fair but humble amount of rubber which makes killing not too tiresome, but i would like to see walls stay, and non-infinite walls, for the above mentioned reasons. finite walls make camping virtually impossible.
the reason why i am visiting this server is: my ping is very good, players i like and which are very challenging play there, and i won matches countless times, so it brings me luck too i guess
and to norm: can you actually exist without being pathetic?
