Digg.com means more players
Digg.com means more players
somebody posted a link to armagetron and it got "dugg to the first page"
think of digg as the new slash dot
it was so poplular it got slapped onto the front page
they also claim to have "brought down your mainpage" tank altho it still works for me...

whoohoo
i was about to suggest advertising armagetron somewhere, to get more players; that was a great idea submitting it to that digg site. way to go whoever it was.
Aww....Great...A n00b infestation! Lol, the only downside to advertising...Like when Runescape went on Miniclip...UGH that was a bad year in the face of RS players...Oh well Runescape sucks and is nothing compared to armagetron

When we actually release, who will make the post on freshmeat.org? I too rarely consult it to know what would be appropriate, but I think it would be a good exposition.
Maybe someone/a small group should prepare a set of descriptions for the game. Something like:
- a few one-liner attention grabber
- a one line description
- 1 paragraph
- 3 paragraph.
At the release, with such text in hands, it would be easy for anyone to go around in all the places we are mentionned and post an up-to-date description.
Sorry if I've moved the topic abit aside of the discussion.

Canis meus id comedit.
on the wiki page:
That's probably a pretty good idea. Then we can copy that page for each release, mark it, and use it as a checklist, where when someone goes and updates our listing for a given location they can sign their name on the wiki to indicate that it's done.

It's good to have new people coming to the game. The only problem I could see is that it seems the majority of servers left are those with absurdly high rubber and high speed, which I am sad to presume will continue once the final 0.2.8.[whatever] comes out, so all these "noobs" will go to these servers and almost by default pick up that style of playing, which, well, boo and blah blah. Sawry, complaining again. Um, welcome, new people!
