my Armagetron video

Post by IkiLLaLLBlondes »

thought wud be cool to make a tron video today, so i did. Afta finally figuring out how to move the mouse away from a windowed armagetron screen without it returning it back to screen center
console command [ mouse_grab 0]
, i played one match and recorded it. Was really laggy for me, as u can see in the video. Any1 who's eva tried to record armagetron using a screen recorder program will know how intense the kinda lag im talking about it , but as i always say, a good player shud b able to adapt to any server, any time, and with any amount of lag :D .

Anyway, spent bout 30 mins editing it and here's the outcome

size: 23mb
length: 3 mins
url : http://sgod.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/Armagetron.wmv

My host allows u to download at ur maximum possible download speed 8)

Was just havin a lil fun, so don't hate :P

You could also make an armagetron debug recording, and then play that back and have your screen recorder record that. That way you don't lose any fps.

Also, the 'g' key will turn off/on mouse grab. I think that key is still hard-coded in the game.

update to a newer version here -->beta.armagetron.net

In the startup menu under armagetron there should be two options, record and playback. After you hit record do whatever you want to record. A new thing will appear on your desktop (forget the name) that is the key to playing it back. Press playback and itll play back, but after you delete that new thing on desktop your replay is dead. In order to give it to others rename it to .zip at the end then post it whereever (only .zip for here actually i think). Once you make a new recording it erases the prevois recording. You cant post very big ones here so try to keep em small.. NOTE: The recordings take up LOTS of space...
Damn, it sure has been a while!

The framerate of the capture is indeed low.
