Right, because Bush's idea of problem solving is "throw money at it". (and 51 billion is still more than likely not enough, but I'm sure it's all he can spare what with the war and all)

And as for me, I don't have a mind problem, I would just rather be safe then sorry.

And as for "the reds are coming", I do very much believe in this. Many of those who have not let the propaganda influence thier mind still believe this. But it's not just the reds. There are many other countries that have military bases in our land. Clinton didn't get rid of our military bases, he sold them. And that is probably what they are doing with the ones they are shutting down today. The media won't tell you this stuff because they don't want you to know. There are NATO forces all over our country. Why? Because when it comes time to take America under, they will use foriegn troops and not native troops. American soldiers could not do to us what the government has planned for us.

Check out http://www.infowars.com for the truth. Now I just eat the meat and spit out the bones because I don't like the way he does some things and some of the things he believes, but it is worth taking a look at.

Edit: Now alot of his stuff seems wierd, but it is closer to the truth than what you would think. I can even fit alot of what he tells you in the Bible.

Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, and I haven't called any of you a stupid moron, so please don't me. I am a little more open minded about things than you guys seem to be. And just because you think what someone believes is stupid does not mean they (as a person) are. We can't all agree about everything or life would be too boring, but maybe can get along a little better, ok?

As a side note: Oscilloscope and Paul (whoever you are), I don't appreciate your animosity towards Punch as a SpeedeR the other day. You deserved the butt kicking he gave you two. Things just have seen to gone a whole lot farther than just a game and I think it is time to back off and take a break. And a forever one at that. Just a nice exortation from and easy going guy.

I'm not surprised about the infowars link. I used to listen to Alex Jones on 98.9 here in Austin before he got shit-canned for being a loony. Getting fired from talk radio for being loony is a bad sign....

So tell me, SD, did you buy any of his fashionably-shaped hats lined with tin-foil? Do the black helicopters trouble you, your family, or your girlfriend?

More importantly, are you trying to tell me that the Austin-Bergstrom air port is actually a NATO base? Geez, where do they hide the fighters and bombers, inside the airliners?

Yeah, that's the problem. Everyone thinks he is kinda loony, and I do to some degree. Most everthing is true though.

I've see lots of helicopters fly over my house. None of them have been black.... Does Alex Jones still live in Austin, by any chance? Any idea whereabouts? (He used to get nightly visits by black helicopters. I'm supposed to believe the government would spend thousands of dollars to fly a million-dollar aircraft to some radio talk show host's house, prance around, and tell him to shut up?)

In any case, here's a brief inventory of the aircraft I've seen go over my house: (I'm about midway between city limit signs of Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Austin, and I think Georgetown might be the same distance as the others, which would close me in)

Prop planes, both single wing and dual-
Yellow search and rescue helicopters
Red fire helicopters
Blue cop choppers
Airliners
Some military fighters
Hot air balloons
Aerolites

Austin-Bergstrom air port was formerly Bergstrom Air Force base, and Clinton closed it.

I've seen closed bases sitting there unoccupied, and I've seen closed bases that have been turned into public housing and various other projects. The thing is, with a few exceptions, every military base has a small town built around. You do know that one person requires about 2.4 service people to support in any given area? So if there are, say, 2,000 troops stationed in any given base, there must be 4,800 service people nearby to provide them with toilet paper, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. I realize that AAFES provides some of that stuff, but not enough for the whole base. In any case, if the NATO folks were here on our abandoned bases, it wouldn't be possible for them to:

1. Keep in a constant state of readiness to defeat us when D-Day comes
2. Keep themselves supplied (logistics are 90% of war, after all)
and
3. Keep enough troops coming into the country without leaving their own country undefended

At least, not without somebody noticing that they're there.

What's really cracking me up lately is Alex Jones's line about FEMA. He still preaching that FEMA is here to oppress everyone? You know, taking advantage of natural disasters so they can come in and rule your life? That would be a preferable explanation to what happened in New Orleans, because that would at least be an incentive to revolt. On the other hand, the old adage must be applied to all that comes out of Alex Jones's mouth: "Never attribute to malice that which is easily explained by stupidity."

Yeah, but I feel kind of sentimental about Alex Jones. He was the catalyst that started a fight with my mother-in-law (her and me) that turned out to be a very worthwhile fight, precisely because I had started to believe some of what he was saying.

Hrm. We are not fighting, and there is nothinf wrong with a good debate. I am not self-righteous at all. I don't live in my world. I live in God's world. He made it, after all.

Christianity is not perfect, but it strives to be. And just because I belivee somthing that is on this guy's website doesn't mean that I believe the whole internet. The whole internet is full of junk I don't even care to put into my mind. Of a fact, I try to avoid as much of it as possible. And that would be saying that I believe both sides of every issue, which is nothing but confusion.

That is why I said that I eat the meat and spit out the bones. I hate his me me me focus and his fear stuff. Now, after seeing that stuff you could easily fear. Christians are only supposed to be afraid of God and Him alone. So his fear stuff is invalid in my case.

You try going through life telling people you think God is a fascist and Jesus didn't exist and see how much you learn. So many Christians say they don't oppress anybody or preach or any of that crap, but when it comes down to it, most do. But until you take a walk in the other guy's shoes, you don't know it. The Bible says that God uses the foolishness of preaching to save them that are lost. Also, people that live righteously offends others that don't. That's why people think we are oppressing them. We aren't, it's just the cross of Jesus Christ that offends them.

And God is a dictator to a certain extent. He dictates what he wants but it's your chice to do it or not. He is forgiving to a certain point, in which you can push too far. He knows the thought and intents of your heart and if you just keep your heart right then your on the right track.
